Piano Instructor

Our talented Piano Instructor, Doreen brings her expertise to students of all ages, guiding both children and adults through beginner (Grades 1-3) and intermediate (Grades 4-8) levels. She has been playing the piano for over 24 years, a lifelong journey that has deepened her passion for the art of piano playing. With a patient, nurturing approach, she helps each student develop their skills while building a solid foundation in technique, theory, and piano musicianship. Drawing on her certification in Piano Pedagogy and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, she creates an encouraging environment that nurtures not only musical growth but also cognitive development and emotional resilience. Starting her piano journey as a child, she understands the joys and challenges of learning from the ground up, fuelling her dedication to her students. She helps students grow and excel, fostering their skills with on building strong technical foundations, musical expression, and disciplined practice habits, she prepares them to one day transition to advanced studies with our Piano Professor. Her personalized instruction ensures that students are ready to take the next step toward becoming accomplished pianists, capable of excelling at higher levels.

Our distinguished Piano Professor, with over 35 years of teaching mastery, guides students to the pinnacle of musical mastery. Holding a Doctorate in Music and a Master's degree in Soloist Pianist, Chamber Orchestra Soloist, and Piano Teaching from a prestigious international conservatoire, she brings unparalleled expertise to her teaching. Her students have achieved numerous awards in international competitions, a testament to her exceptional mentorship and dedication. Specializing in advanced levels (Grades 7-8), pre-professional diploma, and university and conservatoire studies, her sessions are deeply transformative. While the fortunate students progressing from our Piano Instructor’s classes arrive well-prepared, the Professor also works extensively with advanced piano players of all age, current university and conservatoire students, and aspiring concert performers. Her immersive approach hones advanced technique, deepens interpretative artistry, and perfects performance skills. Ideal for those looking to refine their artistry, preparing for elite competitions, enhancing their academic studies, or pursuing professional careers, her mentorship empowers pianists to achieve the highest levels of artistic excellence.

A letter to all parents

Piano Lesson Policies

Introductory Lesson

All new students can start with a complimentary 20 minute trial lesson. Subsequent lessons must be booked in packages to foster commitment and progression.

Language Instruction

Lessons are offered in English which is great for practice.

Payment Procedures

Payments are required upfront via e-banking or cash at the beginning of each five-lesson cycle or ten-lesson cycle.

Advance Payment and Refund Policy

Payments for lesson packages are made in advance. These payments are non-refundable, even if the student decides to stop taking lessons.

Emergency Cancellations

If a lesson is canceled due to unforeseen events, it will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.

Missed Lesson Policy

Lessons missed by students will not be rescheduled or refunded unless due to exceptional circumstances.

Weekly Lesson Structure

Lessons are conducted once or twice a week, providing consistent learning and practice.

Lesson Availability

Lessons are scheduled between 8:00 AM and 7:30 PM,  Monday to Saturday

Specialized Sessions for Young Children

30-minute lessons are specifically designed for children aged 3 to 6 years to match their learning capacity and attention span.

Consistent Scheduling Commitment

Students must choose a specific weekly time slot for their lessons and adhere to this schedule for continuity.

Holiday Rescheduling

Lessons falling on public holidays will be rescheduled to the nearest available time in the following month, considering everyone's availability.

Advance Notice for Discontinuation

Students intending to discontinue lessons must provide at least one month’s notice.
